On March 8, 2011 @ 4:15pm my eldest brother William went home to be with the Lord. It was a rainy Tuesday and I wonder if the angels were crying because of rejoicing or because of the earthly loss? I am lead to believe it was a little of both. A Healthier Me in More Ways than One

Even though breakfast was stressed as being the most important meal of the day, I grew up bypassing it day after day and year after year. I believe it was mainly because I did not understand the full benefits of breakfast. Not to mention I did not like my family’s staple of eggs and sugary cereals nor the way these foods made me feel when I ate them. But truth to be known I thought I could function just as well without it. Can you say delusional? Now that I have found myself in my late forty’s and not getting any younger, I have come to understand the importance of this power meal as I start taking precautionary measures in order to prevent the onset of health issues as I age. While I try to change a lifelong habit I have found it to be not easy, somewhat difficult and rather frustrating at times while I work towards figuring out what foods will be the most beneficial for me. What’s in your closet?

Whenever asked “What’s in your closet” naturally our first response would be clothes and shoes but when taking a closer look we find there’s more. I will be the first to admit I am a woman who loves clothes, shoes, purses, and the accessories that pulls a great look together. This leaves me having more than enough. So, with each change of the season I tackle the daunting task of ridding my closet of things I no longer want or need. But to be honest this deed brings forth anguish each time I undertake this job. My distress comes when I pull out certain garments which I continually place back in my closet year after year. I know these items are no use to me but for some reason I have a sense of comfort knowing they are safely tucked away.
